Summary
The Quality Engineer (QE) reports directly to the QAM and is responsible for managing the effectiveness of manufacturing processes and overseeing the company’s standard quality operating procedures. The QE leads core operations related to QMS processes and product quality, supports quality control within manufacturing systems, assists department managers in supply chain quality, and participates in quality management processes. The QE monitors and tests product quality, ensures safety and compliance, identifies issues, recommends solutions, and maintains quality documentation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in project design meetings and propose improvements as needed.
Evaluate potential problems and develop technical solutions.
Plan and manage team goals, project schedules, and new information.
Supervise current projects and coordinate team members to ensure workflow efficiency.
Manage project documentation, ensuring all materials are current, properly filled, and stored.
Prepare and review project proposals, memos, meeting minutes, and emails.
Communicate with customers to understand and define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures to adhere to budgets.
Handle customer requests promptly and thoroughly, ensuring issues are resolved.
Gather customer information, fulfill needs, and document interactions efficiently.
Provide support in areas including Sales Orders, Work Orders, Quality Assurance, Invoicing, Certifications, among others.
Compile and generate reports related to sales, production, and quality.
Operate office equipment in accordance with confidentiality requirements.
Use data entry and office software to manage information.
Maintain and update filing and database systems.
Provide administrative support to Sales and Quality Assurance Departments.
Prioritize activities effectively to manage a broad range of tasks.
Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance customer experience.
Communicate professionally and courteously with all stakeholders.
Contribute to a positive, team-orientedwork environment.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and protocols.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality role within manufacturing, with knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and other international standards.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
Strong experience in product/service quality assessments.
Knowledge of quality methodologies such as 8D, Lean, 5 Why’s, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma.
Thorough understanding of the company’s Quality Control System.
