Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced FSQA Manager to oversee our food safety and quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with USDA & SQF regulations and implement effective quality management systems. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining high standards of quality while coordinating with various departments to uphold the integrity of our products.
Duties
Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols in accordance with USDA, SQF regulations and HACCP principles.
Maintain and build upon top tier humane handling practices.
Submit data related to carcass quality grading.
Coordinate the use of measuring machines and vision inspection systems to ensure product specifications are met.
Conduct regular audits of production processes and facilities to identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with production teams to fabricate solutions that enhance product quality.
Train staff on quality assurance practices, including the proper use of calipers and other measuring tools.
Manage documentation related to quality systems, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.
Lead investigations into non-conformities, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Experience
Proven experience in a quality assurance role within the meat industry, with a strong understanding of USDA regulations.
Familiarity with HACCP principles and the implementation of effective food safety management systems.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data related to quality metrics.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively train staff and collaborate across departments.
A detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high standards of product quality.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
