THE ROLE

  • Analyse and review product quality standards, ensuring compliance with internal and third-party certification requirements.
  • Conduct inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process, and final products, ensuring specifications are met.
  • Lead root cause analyses and recommend corrective actions for quality issues raised through customer complaints or internal audits.
  • Support production teams by providing guidance on quality standards and applying problem-solving tools like Six Sigma and lean principles.
  • Perform internal audits of processes and suppliers to maintain ongoing compliance and drive continuous improvements.
  • Contribute to quality improvement projects, tracking progress and implementing changes that reduce costs and improve product conformity.

WHAT YOU BRING

Essential:

  • Degree or diploma in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a quality control role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of product standards (ISO, EN) and quality systems (SAP preferred).
  • Experience of leading quality improvement projects using problem-solving techniques.
  • Capability to analyse data and identify trends.
  • Skilled in communication, organising workflows, and managing multiple priorities.

Desirable:

  • Internal auditor certification.
  • Experience in a laboratory testing environment.
  • Qualification in lean manufacturing or similar methodologies.

THE PACKAGE

  • Salary: €45,000-€50,000 per annum
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Location: Monaghan, Ireland — hybrid working arrangements possible
  • Benefits: To be confirmed

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Review and ensure compliance with product quality standards, including third-party certification requirements.
  2. Conduct inspections, testing, and measurement systems analysis to maintain product quality.
  3. Lead investigations into quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conformities, proposing corrective actions.
  4. Support production teams with quality standards and continuous improvement activities.
  5. Perform internal audits and support supplier and certification audits.
  6. Lead and participate in improvement projects using Lean/6-Sigma techniques.
