Your Role And Responsibilities
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards. This role involves evaluating production processes, conducting quality tests, implementing corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Engineer works closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, design, and supply chain, to maintain high product quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Control:
Develop and implement quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards.
Monitor and inspect incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications.
Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and initiate corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and work with operations to optimize quality performance.
Apply Six Sigma, Lean, or other continuous improvement tools to reduce defects and increase efficiency.
Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain and update quality documentation such as inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality records.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Testing & Validation:
Develop testing protocols and perform product testing to ensure reliability and durability.
Coordinate with R&D and production for product validation and verification.
Supplier Quality:
Evaluate and monitor supplier performance and quality standards.
Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality-related issues and ensure consistency in materials and components.
Customer Focus:
Investigate customer complaints, analyze defects, and communicate findings to relevant teams.
Implement customer feedback into product and process improvements.
Preferred Education
Bachelor’s Degree
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related field).
Proven experience in a quality engineering or similar role (2–5 years typically).
Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies (FMEA, SPC, PPAP, 8D, etc.).
Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality software (e.g., Minitab, QA databases).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Knowledge of ISO standards and regulatory compliance.
