How will this role will Serve, Own and Grow at Rev:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. This role is embedded within our software engineering teams, ensuring that quality is prioritized throughout the development lifecycle. You will be responsible for testing features, identifying defects, troubleshooting customer issues, and continuously improving our quality processes.

The Quality Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining and improving software reliability. You will help drive measurable improvements in:

Defect detection rate – Identifying and resolving issues before they reach production.

Escaped defects – Reducing the number of defects that impact our customers.

Test coverage – Expanding automated and manual test coverage across application functionality.

Responsibilities

As a

Quality Engineer

you will:

Perform manual testing on software applications to identify defects and usability issues

Develop and execute test cases and test plans based on requirements and design specifications

Conduct functional, regression, integration, and system testing to ensure software stability

Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to ensure high-quality releases

Troubleshoot customer-reported issues and perform root cause analysis

Track and document defects using test management and issue-tracking tools

Participate in design and requirement reviews, providing input to improve testability

Continuously optimize testing processes to enhance software quality and efficiency

Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in software testing methodologies and tools

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Experience with manual testing methodologies and best practices

Familiarity with functional, regression, integration, and system testing

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for defect identification and troubleshooting

Understanding of software development processes and ability to collaborate closely with developers

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience with test management and defect tracking tools is a plus

Extra Impressive:

AWS certification or cloud testing experience

Previous experience in technical support or troubleshooting roles

Exposure to automation testing frameworks or scripting
