The role involves ensuring the highest quality standards in machining large aluminum and titanium structures. The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering and at least 3 years of experience in quality engineering within the aerospace sector.

Responsibilities

Review quality standards, regulatory trends, and implement continuous improvements.

Participate in meetings and report on quality metrics.

Manage customer-specific quality documentation and supplier evaluations.

Maintain and update the Approved Vendor List (AVL).

Apply advanced quality concepts and ensure compliance with AS9100 standards.

Train team members and serve as a subject matter expert in quality control.

Monitor customer scorecards and address quality issues proactively.

Improve inspection processes using lean principles.

Handle nonconformance reports, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

Support new product introductions and supplier audits.

Conduct internal AS9100 audits and manage documentation.

Verify part markings, manage tooling, and compile quality reports.

Collaborate on training and communicate with management regarding quality status.

Minimum Requirements

Experience with AS9100 and NADCAP standards (preferred).

Strong knowledge of GD&T and inspection tools like CMM and NDT.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and in teams, with substantial aerospace experience.

Proficiency in RCCA, 8D, and technical documentation reading.

Must comply with ITAR regulations, requiring U.S. Person status.

Educational &

Physical Requirements

Bachelor’s in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Minimum 3 years in aerospace quality engineering preferred.

Physical Demands: Standing, handling, reaching, walking, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, with vision requirements.

Work Environment: Exposure to mechanical parts, heights, chemicals, and variable noise levels, with accommodations available for disabilities.
