Hours: 37.5hrs a week – (Mon – Thurs 0830 – 1700 Friday – 0830 – 1400)

We are delighted to be working with our client who are the highest-volume production of thermoplastic back door modules in Europe. They began production on site in 2021 and are proud to be on the journey to become the global benchmark of Tailgate manufacturing. They are an energetic, passionate team with expertise in the new most exciting materials and processes. Our client provides everything needed, materials development and design through manufacturing and assembly, to helping manufacturers create bold, state-of-the-art vehicles across the world. Their exterior portfolio of products includes liftgates, door modules, exterior fascias and trim, front-end modules, active aerodynamic systems, running boards, sealing, trim and engineered glass.

Responsibilities

Support quality management and site management objectives, tasks and site management reporting requirements.

Contribute towards the development and delivery of department and individual objectives to maintain/improve department and business performance.

Lead/involvement in continuous improvement activities for plant, analysis and problem solving activities (8D, 6-Sigma, etc.)

Support site development and sustainment of QMS in line with standards and customer specific requirements.

Work with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain customer and internal quality standards.

Support warranty process.

Liaison with external parties as required (customers, suppliers, etc.)

Provide regular feedback through various mechanisms i.e. daily, weekly and monthly reviews.

Ensure safe operating procedures are adhered to all times.

Maintain responsible systems and metrics, including reporting as required.

Support internal auditing across the plant (safety, systems, processes, etc.)

Essential Requirements

Previous experience of leading, coaching, problem solving leadership with strong analytical skills

Excellent organisation skills, management of priorities and communication skills.

Understanding of 7W / lean improvement

Understanding of build standard creation (PFMEA, control plan, working level documents) and implementation / improvement of quality control systems.

Understanding of measurement methods / methodology

PC literacy, including a working knowledge of reporting software.

Systematic and logical approach

Qualified to HNC level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.

Experience of working within the automotive sector

6-Sigma trained or trained in other problem solving methodologies (quality tools required)

QMS and quality systems / auditing experience
