We are looking for a Project Quality Engineer to join our team in Valencia, collaborating with a leading Tier 1 supplier in the automotive sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of aesthetic plastic components, coordinating issue resolution with customers and suppliers, and implementing corrective actions to meet industry standards.
Requirements:
Degree in Engineering or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in quality management in the automotive sector.
Knowledge of automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
Experience with aesthetic plastic components and injection molding processes.
Understanding of defectology and aesthetic criteria for visible vehicle parts.
Strong experience in handling non-conformities and issue resolution with OEMs and Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers.
Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (8D, Ishikawa, 5Why, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams.
Decision-making ability and leadership in implementing corrective actions.
High proficiency in English.
Availability for travel
Responsibilities:
Project quality management: Coordinating and solving quality and functional issues in plastic component projects.
Customer and supplier interaction: Managing non-conformities, negotiating solutions, and ensuring product compliance.
Production monitoring: Analyzing capacity, tolerances, and feasibility of plastic components.
Corrective and preventive actions: Identifying and implementing solutions to production and quality issues.
Documentation handling: Managing RFQ, SCCAF, TGSS, cost-saving initiatives, and quality standards.
Continuous improvement: Ensuring high standards in product design, validation, and launch phases.
