About the Opportunity:

Our client, a leader in the chemical and materials manufacturing industry, is seeking a Quality Engineer to support quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives at their facility in Paris, KY. This is a contract role offering the chance to work in a regulated, process-driven environment with opportunities to influence key quality and compliance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Support and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS)

Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions

Execute internal audits and contribute to closing out audit findings

Monitor and improve product and process quality using SPC tools and data analysis

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product transfers and validations

Drive continuous improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies

Assist in the development of inspection and testing protocols

Perform reviews of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) products and process deviations

Contribute to validation efforts, including test methods, manufacturing, and cleaning validations

Train staff to build quality awareness across departments

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field

3–5 years of experience in a quality engineering role, ideally in chemical, rubber, or plastics manufacturing

Strong understanding of GMP practices, preferably in a pharmaceutical setting

Familiarity with ISO 9000 or AS9100 standards

Preferred Skills:

ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (or working toward certification)

Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and DOE methodologies

Proficiency with Minitab and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

Skilled in metrology tools and statistical quality control

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Compensation:

Pay Rate: $37.40/hour (W2)

Work Environment: Onsite
