Bell & Associates is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer in Sturtevant, WI.

Summary:

Plans and directs activities concerned with the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation.
  • Develops sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Establishes a program to evaluate the precision and accuracy of production equipment along with testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
  • Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
  • Directs associates engaged in measuring, testing and approving products concerning materials, products, or process quality and reliability.
  • Compiles and writes training materials and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
  • Assist with Supplier development.
  • Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.
  • Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
  • Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
  • Reviews all purchased products or components and provides input to the decision of whether to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor.
  • Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures.
  • Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
  • Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities.
  • Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.
  • Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university
  • 3-5 of related experience and/or training.
  • TS16949/ISO experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred.
