Job Summary
The Minnesota Forensic Services Program – St. Peter is seeking an individual to join our Quality Team for an exciting and rewarding opportunity as a Quality Officer. The Quality Officer is responsible for identification of effective performance measures, data analytics, quality reporting, and development and implementation of strategies to effectively support this healthcare organization in its goal of providing quality services to the people served at Forensic Services.
The Quality Officer will provide project management and performance improvement support for campus wide initiatives throughout Forensics Services. The Quality Officer will establish activities to monitor, audit, analyze, and report program performance against established standards. As a contributor to the Forensics Services Leadership Team, the Quality Officer will provide leadership and advisement in organizational planning and action planning. The position will have managerial influence and control primarily in the area of practices, processes and procedures.
Job duties for this position include but are not limited to:
Lead the development, implementation, coordination, and management of strategic quality and performance improvement initiatives under direction of the Director of Quality, including a comprehensive quality plan.
To represent Forensic Services on state-wide committees and initiatives including by providing the Director of Quality, DCT CQO, and FS Leadership with information and data analysis necessary for decision making and long-range planning on programs and/ or policy implications
Prepare written narrative reports, support policy and procedure, and create DCT educational written materials. Integrate data analysis results and program activities into quality reports to provide actionable information to Directors, DCT Executive and program staff.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
Three (3) years of professional level healthcare accreditation experience in three or more the following areas:
Healthcare management
Patient care experience
Quality care and patient safety
Compliance
Knowledge of process improvement and project management skills
Knowledge of computer applications for documentation of flow charts, trending of data, report findings, and project management in a forensic healthcare setting.
Note: A bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, public administration, law, or clinical health professions may substitute for one year of professional experience. A master’s degree in healthcare management, public administration, law, or clinical health professions may substitute for two years of professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, public administration, law, or clinical health profession.
Experience in compliance and risk management.
Must have strong knowledge of the operation of healthcare systems, person-centered services, the trends and innovations in the area of quality control management, the operation of administrative state agencies, relevant state and federal agencies, and accrediting organizations.
Ability to analyze data.
Ability to synthesize reports, and present findings to necessary entities in a professional and concise manner.
Experience in project management roles, facilitation of project teams, and engagement in organizational strategic planning processes.
