Title: Senior QA Analyst/UAT
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior QA Analyst to join our quality assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading testing efforts, ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications, and improving testing processes. You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to identify defects, create test strategies, and maintain high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Planning
Develop, implement, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Define and maintain quality assurance standards and best practices.
Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback on testability.
Testing & Defect Management
Conduct functional, regression, integration, system, and performance testing.
Identify, document, track, and report software defects and inconsistencies.
Work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution of defects.
Automation & Continuous Improvement
Design and develop automated test scripts using industry-standard tools.
Continuously improve testing processes and frameworks for efficiency.
Advocate for best practices in software quality and testing methodologies.
Collaboration & Mentorship
Work closely with cross-functional teams to align testing strategies.
Mentor and support junior QA team members.
Provide clear and comprehensive documentation of test processes and results.
Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in manual and automated testing techniques.
Experience with testing tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
Strong knowledge of SQL for database testing.
Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
Understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with performance testing using JMeter or similar tools.
Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.).
Certifications such as ISTQB or equivalent.
