An industry leading aerospace manufacturing supplier is actively seeking a Senior Level Quality Engineer to add to their team. This person will be responsible for supporting the Quality Department in the plan, coordination, and execution of quality control activities to meet all company and customer Quality requirements.
Essential Functions:
Works with Quality and Operations teams to maintain 3rd party accreditations (NADCAP/AS9100 Rev D), to include process documentation, updates and audit preparation and participation.
Interpret customer drawing, specifications and contract requirements to develop and implement quality plans and inspection
Maintain professional and technical knowledge
Conduct part specific quality planning of PO/NPI in accordance with customer and company requirements.
As part of Contract Review process ensure that customer supplied specifications match Alloy Processing operational capabilities.
Review customer quality complaints to determine appropriate corrective actions and implement sustainable corrective actions.
Reviews and evaluates in-process rejections, obtains disposition and implements corrective action as needed
Interface with customers, vendors and various company departments to resolve quality problems and provide information
Work proactively with Operations to determine root cause and corrective action on all internal non-conformances.
Submit non-conformance to customer and negotiate disposition
Proactively engage with Operations department to minimize rework and escapes
Assist in internal and external audits
Requirements:
BA or BS degree in related field
Prior Experience using Root Cause & Analysis, Problem Solving Tools & Techniques, and Corrective Actions
AS 9100 standards experience
