Position: Quality Engineer (18month FTC)
Elevation Recruitment Group are supporting a leading aerospace manufacturer in Sheffield as they look to recruit an experienced Quality Engineer on an 18-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established engineering business with a strong reputation for quality and innovation. Working as part of a collaborative quality team, you’ll play a key role in supporting customers, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring products meet the highest industry standards.
What you’ll be doing:
Managing customer quality requirements and acting as a key quality contact. Investigating non-conformances using structured root cause analysis tools such as 8D and 5 Whys. Supporting internal, customer and third-party audits. Driving continuous improvement activities to reduce defects and improve processes. Reviewing quality data, analysing trends and implementing corrective actions. Supporting new product introductions, including APQP, PPAP and FAIR activities where required.
Working closely with production, engineering, suppliers and customers to resolve quality issues. Ensuring compliance with AS9100 and customer-specific requirements. We’re looking for:
Previous experience in a Quality Engineer role within aerospace or another highly regulated manufacturing environment. Good understanding of quality management systems, ideally AS9100.
Experience of customer-facing quality activities. Strong problem-solving skills with experience of quality tools such as 8D, Root Cause Analysis and FMEA. Internal auditing experience would be advantageous. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business. What’s on offer:
