JBT is looking for a Quality Manager to primarily oversee our Sheet Metal Fabrication division.
JBT is a growing innovative manufacturer of top quality non-woven and dry running friction materials including flat plate clutches, cones, lawn mower blade components, appliance brakes and more.
JBT is also a full-service metal fabrication shop with multiple laser cutters, CNC brake presses, CNC turrets, PEM and rivet machines.
Candidates for this position must have the following:
a Bachelor of Science degree related to Engineering or Quality Management (OR 5+ years in a quality assurance role related to Metal Fabrication)
experience with training, developing and supporting at least one direct report Quality Technician
experience with developing and maintaining ISO 9001 systems and ensure compliance to functions related to the Quality Management System (QMS)

Additional Responsibilities and Requirements of this role are as follows:
-Track and resolve internal, external (customer and supplier) related quality issues through documented problem-solving methodology
-Development and maintenance of process control plans
-Ensure completion and adherence to APQP
-Maintain appropriate quality databases, documents, reports, supplier certification etc.
-Manage the activities and equipment within the quality lab, including cleanliness and organization
-Establish appropriate contracts/training to assure company is up to date with latest industry and customer quality initiatives
-Establish and maintain quality rep contacts with each customer
-Provide month ending operations report of key business metrics and customer sales activity, take necessary actions to meet objectives. (Internal and external performance)
-Identify and communicate opportunities for continuous improvement
-Adhere to proper safety precautions, procedures and utilize appropriate PPE
-Maintain supplier quality relationships for APQP
-Maintain gauge tracking system for gauge inventory, calibration schedule and traceability
-Completion of customer and supplier PPAP’s
-Identify and document non-conforming material as required
-Conduct gage R&R and Cpk studies
-Operation of quality lab equipment, ie. CMM, compression/tensile tester
-Assist and support all functions in problem resolution as required

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
