As a Quality Engineer II, you will provide quality engineering support for manufacturing operations and New Product Introduction (NPI), ensuring delivery of the high-quality products to our customers while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
In this role, you will partner closely with production and manufacturing engineering teams to provide operational support for the TDX, EKOS and Iron Heart production lines. This position is part of the Sensors and Micro-Interconnects (SMX) business unit and offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on manufacturing excellence, product quality and patient outcomes.
Work model, sponsorship, relocation:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows an onsite work model requiring employees to work from our Arden Hills, Minnesota, location five days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.
Your responsibilities will include:
Identify and implement effective process control systems to support the development, qualification and ongoing manufacturing of products that meet or exceed internal and external requirements. Lead the implementation of quality assurance systems, process controls and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities designed to meet or exceed internal and external requirements. Serve as an effective leader and collaborative team member in supporting quality systems, decisions and best practices.
Apply structured problem-solving methodologies to identify, prioritize, communicate and resolve quality issues. Support the development and execution of streamlined business systems that effectively identify and resolve quality issues. Provide production floor support and serve as the quality owner for assigned manufacturing lines. Perform or support process validation and verification activities and prepare or review associated documentation. Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) projects and drive timely implementation of effective solutions.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline. Knowledge of quality systems and good documentation practices.
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, biomedical engineering or a related technical discipline. Experience supporting manufacturing operations within the medical device industry. Experience providing quality engineering support, including process validation, equipment qualification, CAPA and production line support. Knowledge of analytical techniques, statistical analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing engineering, process engineering, supplier quality and risk management, to drive projects to successful completion.
Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), product and component documentation, inspection and testing.
