Job Summary:
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
Job Duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluates program and practice compliance concerning current policies, procedures, and standards.
Determines compliance deficiencies.
Develops and implements changes in policy or procedure to reflect best practices and address deficiencies.
Develops policy and procedure training for staff.
Develops compliance plans and ensures the plans are followed to completion.
Provides feedback and recommendations to ensure compliance.
Develops and maintains tracking systems for all training and compliance issues.
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY
Performs work under minimal supervision.
Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least two (2) years of related experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid driver’s license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
