Job Summary
This position is responsible for ensuring the quality of Jabil products by implementing and maintaining effective quality engineering processes, while continuously improving product quality and customer satisfaction.
Quality Engineer (QE) Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems and related procedures to ensure products comply with internal and external quality standards.
- Participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including design reviews, process validation, and product release, to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues encountered during production and drive the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate with customers to evaluate their quality systems and product quality performance, and promote internal quality improvements.
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing projects, to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
- Provide quality awareness and quality tool training to production personnel.
- Collect and analyze quality data, generate quality reports, and present quality performance and status to management.
- Ensure all products comply with customer specifications, industry standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Actively participate in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process and ensure the effective implementation of quality control plans.
Job Qualifications
- Associate degree or above in Manufacturing Engineering, Painting/Coating Technology, Machining, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Quality Engineer (QE) or in a quality engineering role within a related industry.
- Familiarity with quality management system standards such as ISO 9001.
- Proficient in quality tools and methodologies, including FMEA, SPC, 8D, and MSA.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and teamwork abilities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English(or Chinese), and Vietnamese, with the ability to support daily business communications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and/or statistical analysis software such as JMP and Minitab.
