Night Quality Technician

Schedule: 2 PM – 12:30 PM, Monday-Thursday, Weekends as needed

Primary Responsibilities:
Perform quality checks on products and raw materials
Micro-testing of products to ensure microbiological safety and quality
Assist in maintain quality control equipment and lab
Work with the team to implement corrective actions based on testing results
Follow standard operating procedures for Quality/Food Safety Department
Batching small laboratory samples
Conduct microbiological tests on concentrates and juices
Qualifications:
Associate’s or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
Familiarity with laboratory environment and testing
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Conduct analytical and organoleptic tests on incoming raw materials for manufacturing
Conduct analytical and organoleptic tests on incoming concentrates from our Co-Packers
Analytical testing to include pH, Refractive Index/Brix, and acid titration
Organoleptic testing to include taste, odor, and appearance
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Food Science from a four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficient with word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Preferred:
Experience in a food manufacturing plant
Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
