This role will report to the Quality Manager.
Key Responsibilities
The Quality Engineer is a key figure in maintaining and enhancing the quality of products in a gear manufacturing environment. This role involves developing and implementing quality control systems to ensure product reliability and conformance to standards. Regular inspections and tests are conducted to verify that the products meet required specifications.
Quality Assurance
:
Develops and implements quality control systems to ensure product reliability and compliance with established quality policies.
Inspection and Testing
:
Conducts regular inspections and tests of products to ensure they meet the required specifications.
Process Improvement
:
Identifies opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Documentation
:
Maintains accurate quality assurance documentation.
Supplier Quality
:
Works with suppliers to ensure the quality of raw materials and components.
Training
:
Trains production staff on quality control measures.
Non-Conformance Management
:
Manages non-conforming products.
Customer Support
:
Addresses customer complaints and product issues.
Compliance
:
Ensures compliance with standards and regulations related to gear manufacturing.
Auditing
:
Conducts internal audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Materials Management/Purchasing.
ASQ certification or equivalent preferred.
5+ years of experience in a similar role preferred.
Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma within 3 years.
