As a Quality Engineer II, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing product quality in our commercial roofing manufacturing processes. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement quality control systems, conduct audits, and drive process improvements. Your expertise in root cause analysis, supplier quality management, and regulatory compliance will help ensure our products meet the highest industry standards.

Responsibilities
Quality Assurance:
Develop and implement quality assurance protocols to ensure consistent product quality.
Process Improvement:
Identify areas for improvement in manufacturing processes and implement corrective actions.
Audits and Inspections:
Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Root Cause Analysis:
Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive quality documentation, including inspection reports, quality manuals, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Supplier Quality Management:
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of raw materials and components.
Training:
Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality standards and best practices.
Project Management:
Lead quality improvement projects and initiatives, coordinating with cross-functional teams.
QMS Oversight:
Oversee the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Is this job for you?
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Environment (ISO Environment) required.
1 – 2 years’ experience – Lead Auditor preferred.
Strong knowledge of ISO and GMP requirements and relevant industry standard practices is required.
Must have the ability to interpret these regulations to ensure proper implementation in the plant systems.
Must have experience in performing risk analysis (e.g., FMEA, FTA, Risk Ranking/Filtering).
Excellent analytical / problem-solving, project management, interpersonal, and organizational skills are required.
Proficient with Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word required.
Must be a team player. Must have effective communications skills, both written and verbal to interface with internal and external personnel and customers in a professional manner.
Must work well in a team environment, possess an ability to adapt to change in the environment, and have a proven ability to exert influence in a directive and positive manner.
Must be able to lead, manage, and motivate a team through direct management or matrix management.
WCM of Six Sigma Greenbelt (or equivalent).
