Job Summary: 

We are seeking a dedicated Manual Quality Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the software testing field. The ideal candidate will possess strong manual testing skills, the ability to work independently, and excellent interpersonal abilities to manage client interactions and collaborate with engineering teams effectively.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Manual Testing & Documentation:

·      Execute comprehensive test cases based on acceptance criteria to identify bugs and ensure software quality.

·      Conduct functional, regression, and exploratory testing across various projects and environments.

·      Demonstrate expertise in various areas of testing, including functional, non-functional, usability, and performance testing.

·      Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of test cases, test results, and defect reports to ensure clarity and traceability.

 

2. Analytical Skills and Decision Making:

·      Analyze acceptance criteria critically to ensure comprehensive test coverage and identify gaps where potential bugs may arise.

·      Make independent decisions regarding testing priorities and strategies, demonstrating a strong sense of judgment in critical situations.

 

3. Client Interaction & Collaboration:

·      Handle client communications effectively, understanding their requirements and providing status updates on testing processes.

·      Work closely with software engineers and other stakeholders to discuss requirements, clarify objectives, and provide feedback on potential issues.

 

5. Proactiveness & Professionalism:

·      Show initiative in improving testing processes, suggesting enhancements, and exploring new tools or methodologies.

·      Uphold a high standard of professionalism in all interactions and deliverables, especially in high-pressure situations.

 

6. Prioritization and Time Management:

·      Set priorities effectively and manage multiple testing assignments with minimal supervision.

 

10. Out-of-the-Box Thinking:

·      Employ creative problem-solving techniques to identify edge cases and innovative testing approaches.

 

11. Test Management Tools:

·      Utilize test management and bug tracking tools effectively to manage test cases and report bugs. Familiarity with [specific tools, e.g., JIRA, TestRail, etc.] is preferred.

 

Qualifications:

 

·      Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

·      Minimum of 2 years of experience in manual testing.

·      Strong understanding of testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices.

·      Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

·      Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

·      Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

·      Ability to work independently and effectively manage time and priorities.

 

Preferred Skills:

 

·      Familiarity with automation testing concepts or tools is a plus.

·      Knowledge of API testing and general knowledge of programming/scripting is a plus.
