Summary
As the Operations and Quality Assurance Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards. This position reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager and works closely with the entire Import department and PD Teams. This position is essential to our mission of delivering safe and reliable infant products to retailers and consumers.
Primary Responsibilities:
Filing of documentation that supports all CPCs and DOCs.
Track ECN’s for all items that have a change in production as they relate to purchasing.
Keep records of factory audits accurate and up to date. Monitor audit expirations and be proactive in working with the QA Manager to obtain renewals.
Work with Product Development and Design to ensure clear communication on all projects in development.
Track all product testing, including filing all test reports and recording testing dates for U.S. and international compliance.
Ensure that testing on all brands is done on all re-run products annually.
Process replacement requests for customer complaints as directed by QA Manager and Director of QA.
Filing of all product inspection reports for all first shipments of new products as well as any products that could have potential safety issues.
Update PDS worksheet and New Product Tracking worksheet to maintain the product development timeline.
Cross train on Import Purchasing Assistant functions.
Assist Director of Quality Assurance with tasks related to product specs and testing.
Miscellaneous administrative tasks for Import Department.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a high school diploma with a minimum of 5 years experience.
Must be detail-oriented and be able to perform multi-task projects.
Excellent communication and organization skills are mandatory.
