Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Quality Engineer located in Seymour, IN. The Quality Engineer will lead quality assurance efforts to ensure manufacturing processes meet standards and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing quality control inspections, implementing quality management systems, analyzing product quality data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance production processes. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining high-quality standards and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Polymer Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited university
  • 0–3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment; plastics or polymer processing experience preferred
  • Proven experience managing Quality Management Systems (QMS), including ownership of documentation, compliance, and training of cross-functional teams
  • Strong working knowledge of regulatory and quality standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 17025, GMP, and EH&S audits
  • Hands-on experience conducting internal and external audits and supporting compliance initiatives
  • Strong technical expertise in analytical and physical testing methods, including MFI, Flexural, Tensile, FTIR, and NIR
  • Ability to generate, maintain, and report quality documentation with high accuracy and organization
  • Proficiency in core Six Sigma and problem-solving methodologies, including RCA, 8D, CAPA, and PPAP
  • Experience with quality engineering tools such as Gage R&R, Round Robin studies, SPC, and MSA

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in plastics manufacturing, compounding, extrusion, or injection molding.
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification from an accredited institution
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification
  • ISO 9001, GMP, and EH&S internal auditor certifications

"Annual base salary range for this role is between $70K to $100K"
