Job Summary:
The Quality Engineer makes sure that products meet customer expectations, oversees
quality control
, ensuring products comply with standards and specifications. This role demands strong
leadership
skills, and the ability to analyze data and communicate well with team members and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Satisfaction
:
Ensure customer satisfaction, address any customer concerns in professional and timely fashion, protect company’s (PES) best interests
Monitor customer portal to ensure the company’s rating reflects fair score
Quality Systems and Quality Engineering
Drive 8D process to address internal and external issues
Work with Purchasing to develop suppliers that meet Company’s’s requirement to ensure quality of incoming material;
Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure that raw materials and components meet established quality standards.
Develop and implement quality management systems, control processes, procedures, and policies to ensure that products or services meet or exceed customer expectations.
Perform audits of quality control processes, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for corrective action.
Monitor and analyze data related to quality control processes, identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvement.
Manage and maintain quality control documentation, ensuring that all necessary records and reports are accurate and up-to-date.

Communicate with other teams, departments, and stakeholders to ensure that quality control processes are aligned with business objectives.
Train team members on quality control processes, procedures, and policies, ensuring that they have the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their jobs effectively.
Participate in cross-functional teams to develop and implement new products or services, ensuring that quality control processes are integrated into the development process.
Reporting Structure:
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager
KPI’s: (Illustrative)
Number of Customer Complaints: drive customer complaints to zero
8D Response Rate: ensure 8D response within customer’s requirements
Scrap Rate: work with Cross Functional Team to reduce scrap rate
Cost of Quality: drive to reduce cost of quality internally and externally
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as engineering
Minimum 3+ years of proven shop floor manufacturing engineering experience, within the Automotive industry.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and identify trends.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
Attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
Knowledge of quality control processes, procedures, and policies.
