Quality Inspector III

Overview

The Quality Inspector plays an important role by ensuring that the circuit cards, electronic components, and electro-mechanical components are manufactured correctly and functioning properly. The work of the Quality Inspector helps to reduce failures and delays as we build displays, onboard computing, and communication solutions that make flying safer.

Essential Functions

Inspect circuit cards, electronic, and electro-mechanical components, per drawings, procedures and work instructions.
Prepare and upload results of test and inspection.
Utilize ERP system.
Maintain organized work area.
Perform other various types of inspection as required.

Required Skills

Capable of performing in-process inspection operations utilizing a microscope for the majority of the workday.
Experience in cleanroom, ESD, and FOD controlled areas.
Must have basic understanding of how to read/interpret blueprints.
Summarize, file, and maintain records and parts traceability.

Required Experience

High school or equivalent, plus approved specialized and/or trades training desirable.
Minimum 3 years’ experience inspecting electronic parts, assemblies, and circuit boards.
Must be detail orientated and have strong organizational skills.
Must be able to understand written work instructions and drawings.
Familiarity with MS Word, Excel.
Capable of performing in-process inspection operations utilizing a microscope for the majority of the workday.
Excellent vision, ability to lift up to 35 pounds and sit/stand for extended periods of time.
Must be legally authorized to work in the US, visa sponsorship not available.

Preferred

Electronics assembly experience.
5+ years’ experience inspecting electronic parts, assemblies, and circuit boards.
IPC 610 / J-STD Certification a plus.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New Jersey is $27.00 – $45.00 hourly. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, and internal consistency.
