Job Summary:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all forged products meet industry standards, customer specifications, and internal quality requirements. This role involves developing and implementing quality control processes, conducting inspections, analyzing defects, and working closely with production teams to improve overall product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Control & Assurance:
Develop and implement quality inspection procedures for raw materials, in-process, and finished forged products.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions for quality issues.
Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or AS9100, depending on the sector.
Monitor heat treatment, machining, and surface finishing processes to maintain product integrity.
2. Inspection & Testing:
Perform dimensional, mechanical, and metallurgical testing using CMM, hardness testers, spectrometers, and other quality equipment.
Analyze microstructure, grain flow, and mechanical properties of forged parts.
Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure incoming material quality.
3. Documentation & Reporting: Generate inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action reports (CARs).
4. Process Improvement: Optimize forging processes to minimize defects such as cracks, porosity, laps, and inclusions.
5. Regulatory Compliance:
Work closely with manufacturers to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
Ensure products meet standards such as ASTM, SAE, DIN, or customer-specific requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or Industrial Engineering.
Experience: 1-5 years in quality assurance/control in forging, casting, or metal manufacturing.
Software Proficiency: Familiarity with ERP systems, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks is a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹20,000.00 – ₹35,000.00 per month
