Job Summary

The Senior IT Quality Assurance Analyst leverages an advanced knowledge/skillset in testing Loan Origination software products and systems, and using systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain systems to the specified requirements of the business. This position works as an effective team member with Business Analysts, and Business users to analyze, troubleshoot and test business system functionality. In addition, this position provides technical support to assist the appropriate system administrators with the functionality of software that conforms to established policies, procedures and best practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Evaluates the functional and non-functional requirements for test planning. Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans, automated scripts, and programs for testing. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Implements testing process improvements. Analyzes and derives critical test scenarios, creates test processes, and various test specifications for integration, regression, and functional testing. Prepares test planning/design and test strategy documentation.
Finds defects and reports on the issues encountered during the testing life cycle. Maintains documentation of test results and assists in debugging and enhancing the software.
Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Participates in cross-functional team meetings to understand project requirements, updates team about the progress of testing cycle, and works with team to resolve any issues that may arise. Effectively communicates testing concerns and status to Business Analyst, Project Management, and Vendors.
Evaluates, prioritizes, and manages user acceptance testing and data validation.
Assists team in planning and installing system enhancements or new system developments in production and takes a lead role in driving the vendor to complete implementation on time and within budget.
Plays a key role in the change management process involving changes to the application and interface/integration with the core system; and works with the IT department, ensuring that formal and disciplined change management guidelines are being followed.
Acts as an escalation point for issues and coaches/advises junior staff when needed.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, information systems or analytical techniques or equivalent related work experience required.
High School diploma required.

Experience

Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a testing analyst working on large and complex projects that built or enhanced production systems required
Minimum of (2) years’ experience working with automated test scripts (Quick Test Professional, Selenium WebDriver, Load Runner, SiteScope, Business Availability Center)
Minimum of three (3) year mortgage lending experience required
Demonstrated success in leading and implementing projects in a cross functional team environment
