Job Title:
Part-Time IATF 16949 Internal Auditor
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced part-time Internal Auditor to perform internal audits of our Quality Management System (QMS), manufacturing processes, and products in accordance with IATF 16949 and applicable Customer Specific Requirements (CSRs). This role supports our quality, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, schedule, and conduct internal audits of the QMS, processes, and products in alignment with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards.
Plan, schedule, and conduct CQI assessments in alignment with AIAG standards.
Interpret and apply relevant Customer Specific Requirements (CSRs) during audits.
Identify nonconformities, document findings clearly, and report them to relevant personnel.
Verify the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) through follow-up audits.
Maintain internal audit documentation in compliance with IATF standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continual improvement efforts.
Assist with third-party audits and customer audit readiness.
Stay current on changes to IATF 16949, CSRs, and related quality standards.
Participate in management reviews and support quality objectives as needed.
Qualifications:
IATF 16949 Internal Auditor certification required.
3+ years of experience auditing or working within an IATF 16949-certified quality management system.
Strong understanding of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and customer-specific requirements (Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Subaru, Rivian, Ford, Stellantis, etc.).
Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably automotive or rubber/metal components.
Proficiency with auditing tools, quality records, and nonconformance management.
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage audit schedules efficiently.
Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC is a plus.
