Job Description
Location: 51st & Lincoln, Milwaukee, WI
Global Power Components, a growing manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures, and modular metal enclosures, is seeking Experienced Quality Control Inspectors for its large enclosure fabrication facility.
Candidate Requirements:
At least 1 year of quality inspection experience
Good mathematical aptitude
Attention to detail
Shift Availability: 1st & 2nd shifts with flexible schedules and overtime opportunities.
Compensation: Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
About Us: We recently moved into a 300,000 sq. foot facility to support our growth and industry leadership.
Role Overview: Entry level or skilled Quality Inspector responsible for daily inspection, documentation of quality issues, data presentation, and growth opportunities through extensive onsite training. Reports to the Quality Manager.
Daily Activities Breakdown:
30% Part inspection on manufacturing floor
50% Enclosure/tank inspection on manufacturing floor
20% Data processing and analysis
Note: Majority of time spent on the manufacturing floor.
Responsibilities: Inspect and document parts and assemblies, create reports for training and process improvements. Additional tasks may include discussions with engineers, vendor calls, SOP updates, or addressing issues.
Minimum Requirements:
Ability to follow directions and complete tasks accurately and promptly
Strong attention to detail
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel (report writing, data analysis)
Basic math skills including fractions and decimals
Ability to read and use a ruler
Blueprint reading skills (preferred but not required)
Mechanical aptitude
Experience with Pareto Charts (preferred)
Quality assurance experience (preferred)
Engineering Technician experience (helpful but not required)
