Location: 51st & Lincoln, Milwaukee, WI
Global Power Components is seeking experienced Quality Control Inspectors for our large enclosure fabrication facility. Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of quality inspection experience, good mathematical aptitude, and a keen eye for detail.
We offer 1st and 2nd shift options with flexible schedules and available overtime. Compensation is competitive and based on experience.
About Us: Global Power Components is a growing, privately-held manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures, and modular metal enclosures for electrical distribution and control equipment. We recently moved into a newly renovated 300,000 sq. foot facility, supporting our continued growth and industry leadership.
Position Overview: We are seeking entry-level or skilled Quality Inspectors for day-to-day inspection tasks, documenting quality issues, and presenting data statistically. Extensive onsite training will be provided, with opportunities for growth within the company. The inspector will report to the Quality Manager.
Daily Activities Breakdown:
30% Part inspection on the manufacturing floor
50% Enclosure/tank inspection on the manufacturing floor
20% Data processing and analysis
Note:
The majority of time will be spent on the manufacturing floor.
Responsibilities: The main responsibility is inspecting and documenting parts and assemblies. Data collected will be used to generate reports for training and process improvements. Additional tasks may include collaborating with engineers, contacting vendors, updating SOPs, or addressing issues as they arise.
Minimum Requirements:
Ability to follow directions accurately and promptly
Strong attention to detail
Proficiency with MS Word and Excel (report writing and data analysis)
Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals
Ability to read and use a ruler
Blueprint reading skills are preferred but not required
Mechanical aptitude
Experience with Pareto Charts, quality assurance, or engineering technician roles are a plus but not mandatory
