IperionX is seeking a highly skilled Lab-Quality Assurance Technician to conduct quality testing on titanium metal powders and parts at IperionX’s Titanium Manufacturing Campus in the Southern Virginia Technology Park.
Requirements and Qualifications
Required:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Laboratory experience with metal analysis preferred (or AS/BS in related science field)
Proficient computer skills, particularly Excel.
Experience with measurement methods and equipment to determine dimensional features of products.
Organized and detail oriented.
Ability to work well with others and work independently to accomplish assigned tasks.
Motivated to learn new skills.
Preferred: experience handling hazardous materials such as strong acids/bases; OSHA 10 certification; and experience with LIMS.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Conduct quality testing with equipment such as combustion analyzers, ICP-OES, Calipers, CMM, and SEM (per ASTM standards).
Support a robust IPX safety culture by staying up to date on safety trainings, wearing proper PPE and following safety policies.
Accurately document test results.
Perform sampling per best practice.
Qualify final material according to specifications.
Flag non-conforming material.
Maintain and organize lab materials and samples.
Participate in external/internal audits.
Organize and prioritize workload to produce results efficiently.
Perform basic maintenance and upkeep of equipment.
