Polymaker has been active in the US since 2013. We have built up a network of channel partners who serve end-users from all over the United States. Our end-users are hobbyists, professionals and industrial customers who 3D print high quality parts using our filaments.
From our 40,000 SF facility in Missouri City, TX, we currently manage the production and distribution of 3D printing filament for the North America region.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Control Inspector works per control plan to ensure that in-process products and final products are tested and inspected to meet internal requirements. Testing consists of verifying physical properties of filament via handheld and benchtop measurement aids. In-process product inspection consists of generating and reviewing measurement logs. Final product inspection consists of visual verification of product characteristics per work order requirements.

The Quality Control Inspector reports to the Plant Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Use handheld and benchtop measurement aids to test physical properties of filament
Communicate test status results to production team as completed
Generate and Review measurement logs (diameter, ovality)
File quality records per retention policy
Perform final product inspection per work order requirements
Complete finished pallet inspection
Segregate and document all non-conforming product
Escalate repeat quality issues to Quality Assurance Technician and Engineering
Follow all company environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards
Stop work authority – STOPS all work if unsafe conditions are identified
Identify and communicate areas of improvement
Key Expectations:
12 Hour Shifts from 7am – 7pm
Reliable transportation to and from the facility
Walking, standing, bending, lifting, and reaching are normal expected movements during a shift
Previous experience working in a manufacturing facility
PC literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
Willingness to learn and teach others
Willingness to learn and adopt core values of the company
0% travel required
Preferred Experience Background
Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other handheld inspection tools
Understanding of control charts
Plastic manufacturing background

Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range:
$18-20/HR commensurate with experience.
