POSITION DESCRIPTION
Performs product visual inspection and measurements to independently determine and promote conformance with quality standards, records inspection data and rejects nonconforming materials.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Independently performs product visual inspection and measurements by assessing compliance to specifications, records inspection data and rejects nonconforming materials.
- Participate in issue resolution.
- Follow action plans when a non-conformance is detected.
- Utilize Stop Call Wait and Escalate process for reoccurring defects to supervisors.
- Participate in Tier meetings as needed.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1-year working experience in electronics manufacturing.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Basic computer skills.
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)/Operations knowledge.
- Electronic Manufacturing Service (EMS) or equivalent experience.
- IPC A-610 (inspection acceptance) or applicable standard (e.g. IPC-A600).
- Proficient English verbal communication with Operators, Quality Team, and other partner teams.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- You need to be legally eligible to work full-time in British Columbia, Canada for any employer.
- Offer of employment contingent on successful background check.
- Shift: Day (Monday to Friday, 7AM-3:30PM).
- This is a full time regular position.
- Base Pay:
The anticipated pay range for this position is CDN $20.00-$22.00 per hour. The final offer will depend on factors including experience, education, etc. - Work location:
8999 Fraserton Court, Burnaby, BC V5J 5H8.
