Job Title: Quality Supervisor
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Reports To: Director of Manufacturing
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000 annually
Lead Quality in a High-Tech Manufacturing Environment
Seeking a passionate and experienced Quality Supervisor to drive excellence in manufacturing processes. If you’re a quality professional with a strong background in ISO 9001, UL certifications, and electronics manufacturing, this is your chance to lead meaningful change and raise the bar on product quality, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001, UL, and customer-specific requirements.
Oversee and manage all aspects of UL certification processes (UL 94, UL 508A, etc.) for components and finished products.
Lead internal and external audits—ensuring compliance, readiness, and continuous improvement.
Supervise detailed inspections of PCBs, electronic assemblies, and precision sheet metal parts.
Maintain and update quality documentation, including control plans, work instructions, and compliance records.
Conduct thorough root cause analysis and implement effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for non-conformances.
Monitor, track, and analyze key quality metrics (yield, defect rates, customer returns, etc.).
Mentor and guide the QA team, cultivating a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.
5+ years of quality experience in electronics manufacturing, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
Proven expertise in ISO 9001 implementation and maintenance.
Direct experience managing UL certifications, including UL 94 flammability and UL 508A.
Strong knowledge of IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600).
Familiarity with RoHS compliance and reliability standards.
Skilled in root cause analysis, DMT/DFR processes, and RMA handling.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and perform inspections on precision sheet metal assemblies.
Excellent communication and leadership skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points)
Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) certification
Experience with ERP and QMS software
Background in high-reliability electronics manufacturing
