JOB TITLE/

Quality Inspector – Carson City, NV
DESCRIPTION:
The Quality Inspector is responsible for monitoring the quality of incoming and outgoing products or materials by conducting inspections.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Inspect products using gauges, optical comparators, scales, visual assessment, and other requirements prior to shipment.
Generate spreadsheets for data collection.
Reconcile final inspection documentation for shipments.
Interact with source inspectors as needed.
Test incoming raw materials.
Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping.
Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
Read blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand product requirements.
Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to specifications.
Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
Educate the production team about quality control concerns to improve product quality.
Supervise the production process.
Resolve quality-related issues promptly.

EDUCATION:
High School diploma or GED preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
0-3 years performing inspection of assemblies or routine process inspections.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Proficiency in MS Office.
Good math and technical skills.
Understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.
Strong communication skills.
Experience with precision inspection equipment and calibration.
Knowledge of aerospace materials.
