Job Description Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Quality Control Inspector to join our team in Pompano, Beach, FL. The Quality Control Inspector reports to the Service Center Director. Inspectors are responsible for the efficient and economic determination of the airworthiness of aircraft, engine, appliance, and component maintenance actions assigned.
Essential Responsibilities:
Provides quality oversight for all maintenance activities.
Performs required inspection functions during all checks such as airframe and engine inspections called out on workscope. Perform buy back inspections on routine and non-routine work items.
Ensure all paperwork and documentation for aircraft maintenance, repairs and alterations are complete and accurate and that Corrective Actions completely clear the discrepancies.
Performs special inspections as detailed by the requesting or requiring documents.
Performs Required Inspection Item (RII) and Buy Back inspections.
Ensures that inspections and surveillance are performed as required on necessary maintenance actions to assure the use of approved data, material, tools, test equipment and that high standards of workmanship are present.
Provide guidance and assistance to maintenance personnel to train, maintain and enhance compliance to programs, policies, and procedures.
Familiar with all applicable 14 CFR and the RSM/QCM as required.
Performs final inspections and approvals for Return to Service (RTS) on assigned aircraft.
Ensure that repair station records, work orders, reports and forms are completed properly prior to releasing product for return to service.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Inspector Quality Manager and/or Accountable Manager.
Requirements and
Qualifications:
High school diploma, or GED required.
Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license required, IA Preferred.
5 or more years of aviation experience with minimum 3 years in quality assurance / quality management system in a repair station/ part 145 environment.
Knowledge of federal and industry regulations such as FAA, OSHA, and EPA and knowledge of applicable FARs.
Must have excellent communication and people skills.
Must be willing to work nights, weekends and overtime as required.
DESIRED SKILLS:
Must demonstrate excellent technical writing skills.
Possess skills in Microsoft Office applications.
Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers.
Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
