POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Inspector works directly and indirectly with production to clarify and ensure quality requirements are met with all incoming materials, components and outgoing products.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- None
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Product Inspections
- Scrap Disposition/Reporting
- Startup Inspection
- In process Inspection
- Final inspections
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide guidance on quality questions and concerns to production
- Perform incoming inspection, review and prepare quality documentation as needed.
- Maintain QA laboratory in a clean and safe manner.
- Assist with and provide input for corrective action reports to non-compliant parts.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Product/Process audits
- First part and final inspection/approval
- Support Calibration Maintenance
- Receiving inspections (set up and perform)
- Scrap disposition and recording/reporting
- Root cause analysis
- Potential ISO Auditor
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, IQMS and other software programs as needed
- Detail Oriented
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Understanding of and able to read blueprints
- Proficient with utilizing basic inspection tools
- Organizational skills, self-motivated, flexible, and able to prioritize
- Experience with QC inspection and testing preferred
- Applicable Manufacturing Experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
