Job Summary
Performs administrative and coordination functions for Quality including Purchase Order Quality Clauses, approval of Purchase Orders, Supplier Surveys, Receiving Inspection, Document Control Functions, Configuration Control, Customer portal management, and processing, tracking, and facilitating nonconformance review in the Quality Clinic.
Essential Functions:
This position may involve knowledge of confidential information. Such information will be handled with
the utmost discretion.
1. Performs inspection activities including but not limited to Receiving Inspection, Source Inspection, Virtual/Desktop Inspection, using calibrated tooling, drawings, specifications and engineering data to determine daily incoming raw material, products, parts meet acceptability to Purchase Orders matching our customers specifications and requirements.
2. Enter data from receipt to our in-house ERP/MRP system to receive parts into inventory and provide accurate routing to next location (inventory, next work order, supplier).
3. Perform and document final inspections in accordance with customer requirements.
4. Enter and disposition of Non-Conformance Material Reports to the standard procedures
5. Safely unload incoming material and separate freight by supplier and/or product type.
6 Retrieve expedited products in a timely manner.
7. Safely move and/or receive finished material to material handling area by skid type
8. Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements, and reporting/requesting repairs when needed.
9. Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
10. Reject products not meeting specifications.
11. Accepts and adapts easily to change.
12. Meets physical demands of job with or without an accommodation.
13. Communicates effectively (verbal and written) with all contacts in a professional manner.
14. Maintains a high degree of cooperation with supervision and other employees.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Read and writes well enough to understand planning, reports, and to record required information into company systems.
- Ability to use a PC to record required information and prepare required reports using Microsoft Office software and company systems. Demonstrates ability to train other employees on the use of the company systems.
- Experience with ISO9001, AS9100, NADCAP audits and principles.
- Must be able to obtain and hold FAA Certification if required.
- Ability to communicate well. Must have advanced oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with employees and customers.
- Knowledge and/or skill in Six Sigma and Lean principles are preferred.
- Ability to operate effectively in a time-sensitive environment and to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work well with other people in a team environment. Regularly works effectively, and relates well, with others including superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside of the company.
- Strong problem-solving skills. Demonstrates ability to apply logic in problem solving for both internal and external customers.
- Must be able to pass vision exam for detection of defective vision and color blindness.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent and some college is preferred.
- Two to five years of experience in quality and/or composite manufacturing is preferred.
- Experience with FARO Arm and Verisurf is preferred.
