Position: Quality Inspector I 2nd Shift
Aviation Background Highly Preferred
POSITION SUMMARY
Inspect aircraft assembly activities and products for conformance with government and company standards and specifications. Report deviations and support preventive and corrective actions analysis aiming the delivery of products and services at their highest quality to customers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspects the installation and operation of aircraft parts and equipment.
Inspects work areas and detects potential quality and air safety risks.
Reads and understands the applicable technical information from Work Instructions, Drawings, Standards, and Specifications.
Documents production and process non-conformances.
Uses inspection tools and test equipment applicable to the activity.
Performs necessary work registers as requested by production and quality documents.
Prepares technical reports of quality deviations for engineering analysis.
Supports root cause analysis, correction actions, and preventative actions.
Participates in kaizens and projects to improve efficiency and quality goals.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education:
Required:
H.S. Diploma or GED.
Desired: A.S. degree in Aviation.
Desired: A&P License.
Desired: IA FAA License.
Experience:
Generally 1-4 years of quality experience in an aeronautical environment.
Prior inspector work experience with aerospace quality systems that meet FAA requirements.
Capable of performing standard tasks under supervision.
Proficient in Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access).
Ability to use basic measurement instruments and test equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical data (blueprints, specifications, requirements).
Experience in aviation or quality inspection experience.
Technician Role requiring basic skills to perform most of the standard tasks within the technical area assigned to.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to read technical documents and interpret the information – metric system.
Understand procedures, acting in problem solving, suggesting improvements.
Knowledge of safety and operating procedures for power-on aircraft.
Application and use of precision measurement instruments and test equipment.
Team worker.
Logical thinking.
Detail oriented.
Employees will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.
This employee is subject to an annual vision test.
