Position Summary:
Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality standards and evaluation methods for products and processes. Ensure the organization complies with applicable company and customer requirements including AS9100 and FAA standards as established in AA TECH’s Quality Management System. Provides complex statistical information for quality improvement by determining and applying testing methods and criteria. The Quality Engineer LP3 will provide front line support to operations and suppliers in resolving quality issues within the value streams. Coordinates and guides technical evaluations, analysis, and related data acquisition processes to ensure quality objectives are achieved. Mentors and coaches quality technicians and engineers (PB2, PB1).

Customer Requests (data analysis, record retrievals, etc.)

C.I. Support (kaizen, lean, etc.)

Supplier Performance Analysis

NPI support

Performance Metric Maintenance

Cost-of-Quality Analysis

Facilitate Internal & External Corrective Actions

Supplier Change Requests

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (Technical Degree) & 5 years of manufacturing quality experience
Team player
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
Strong GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) understanding
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Solid working knowledge of statistics
Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to adapt to changing priorities within a teamwork setting

Desired Qualifications:
Six Sigma Green Belt
CQA/CQE certification
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Knowledge of aerospace industry or similar industry products and legal and related
regulatory requirements (APQP/PPAP, FAA, AS9100, AS9102, AS13100, etc.)
