Education
Degree or Diploma in Engineering preferred
2 yrs+ industrial QA experience in a production environment; automotive, steel or painted parts environment an asset
Coil coating experience an asset
Ability to read and interpret documentation such as technical specifications, operating instructions and procedures manuals
Ability to write routine reports
Ability to effectively communicate verbally to other employees
Ability to perform accurate calculations using basis arithmetic concepts (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication), whole numbers, fractions and decimals
Ability to perform basic measurements
Ability to carry out instructions given in written, oral, numeric or diagram form
Duties / Responsibilities
SHIFTS:
1 week DAYS, 1 week AFTERNOONS, 1 week NIGHTS rotation
Inspect and test finished paint line product to ensure conformance to customer requirements as communicated in the line specification
Conduct and record the results of visual inspection and quality control testing on paint line product
Conduct calibration and verification testing on selected equipment
Collect, indentify and store retained samples of paint line product
Conform to organization requirements related to wearing of PPE, proper use of lab equipment including ovens and presses, power shear, foot shear, hand shear, computer systems
