Overview
TWI is currently looking for a Quality Control Inspector to work on day shift. Quality Control Inspectors report to the Quality Supervisor and are required to perform a wide variety of tasks ranging from testing and inspection of incoming raw material, in process production and finished goods. TWI manufactures polishing pad products which are sold to the semiconductor industry and demand the highest levels of material quality and performance. This role is best suited to a self-motivated and ambitious individual with a high attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Perform process control measurements on incoming materials to established timelines and processes
- Execute process control measurements of product at various stages in manufacturing through FQC (Final Quality Control) to defined timelines and processes
- Make visual inspection of materials and products to appropriate quality standards in an efficient manner
- Maintain excellent communication with production to avoid delays and misunderstanding
- Promptly notify management of unusual material or product observations
- Support the maintenance and accuracy of quality inspection documentation
- Work with engineering in developing procedures for new inspection methods or inspection of new materials
- Ensure current and accurate records are maintained for all inspections performed
- Follow established protocols when quality standards do not meet requirements
Skills and Background:
- High school diploma
- Completion of trade school or post high school courses desirable
- >3 years working in a Quality Inspector role
- >3 years working in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Experience using hand measurement tools such as Calipers, micrometer, durometer, etc.
- Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbally
- Work with limited supervision in a high paced manufacturing environment
- A fast learner with enthusiasm for maintaining the highest quality standards
- Ability to work well in a cross functional environment
- Training and/or experience with Statistical Process Control highly desired
- Excellent follow up skills
- Familiar working in an ISO 9001 quality system
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 – $30.00 per hour
