Position: QUALITY INSPECTOR I
Overview
The Quality Inspector I inspects molded components, sub-assemblies, finished assemblies, packaging and labeling. Inspections include receiving, in-process, final inspections and rework. Completes Statistical Process Control Charts and histograms, both manually and using computer aided methods. Informs production personnel of non-conforming material, aids in the investigation of causes, material containment and corrective action, and follows up on the effectiveness of action taken.
Prepares various logs, reports and documentation of QC processes.
The Quality Inspector I is a critical part of the quality team to achieve day to day safety, quality and plant goals. Monitors and coordinates the work of temporary labor and other operators.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Safety and quality conscious
High School Diploma or equivalent
1+ years of experience in a high-volume production environment
1+ years of manufacturing experience
Ability to read and interpret basic quality specifications and inspection/control plans
Ability to train others
Effective communication skills
Excellent team player with a positive attitude
Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, People Soft/MRP Systems, Database entry, etc.)
Flexibility
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bi-lingual English and Spanish
Basic understanding of handheld measurement tools usage
Salary Information:
Salary range for candidates based in California: $38,000 – $57,000. Salary ranges include base salary and annual incentive bonus if applicable. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
