ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Manage day to day operations of the Quality Improvement & Compliance Program and Risk Management Program.
Develop, maintain, and revise NACA Policies and Procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws.
Facilitate the Quality Improvement (QI) Committee (which includes Compliance and Risk Management). Primary functions of the QI Committee are to review and manage Quality Improvement opportunities, Incident Reporting including the corrective action plan and recommendation, Compliance and Risk Management issues as needed, and will require heightened sensitivity and privacy.
Review and assist in investigations, monitor, rack, trend incident reports to identify opportunities for system improvement, and report the information to leadership and the Board of Directors, if needed.
Develop and implement trainings and maintains monitoring systems for all QI Improvement initiatives. Report to the Chief Executive Officer, leadership, and to the QI Committee on a monthly basis.
Provide monthly or other pertinent reports on a regular basis, as directed and/or requested, to keep the QI Committee, Board of Directors, and senior management informed of the operations and progress of compliance efforts, quality improvement outcomes measures and improvement, and risk management.
Perform and coordinate chart reviews and peer reviews for Medical and Behavioral staff.
Coordinate and assist with the state licensure processes and follow up on all reported deficiencies.
Work with the clinical staff towards GPRA and UDS measures that are reported annually; work with staff to develop QI activities towards teaching qualified goals and outcomes.
Develop, implement and monitor safety and emergency management plan, policies, and procedures in accordance with regulatory standards (including local building and fire codes)
Establish and participate in safety committee activities, develop and implement safety training to manage safety efforts for the organization.
Regularly review OSHA compliance and employe and patient safety policies and procedures.
Plan and contribute to development of risk management systems.
Monitor, investigate, and report patient adverse events, malpractice claims, incident reports, and indicators of potential harm identified..
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirement

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, public health, nursing, or closely related field; a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a healthcare organization, demonstrated leadership, prior quality improvement and assurance, performance improvement experience, and to include, conducting investigations. Familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance, and human resources procedures and regulations are a must. Preferred: Master’s degree in healthcare management. Must be current with required immunization per the NACA HR Policies and Procedures and Infection Control Policy. Level I Fingerprint Clearance Card. BLS Certification and HIPAA Certification. Possess a valid state Driver’s License. Must pass a criminal background check in accordance with NACA Policy.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of principles, practices, methods, and techniques of continuous quality assurance and performance improvement.
Knowledge of Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) requirements, Joint Commission, ADHS, HRSA, and CMS.
Knowledge of OSHA requirements in healthcare and licensing and regulatory standards.
Knowledge of electronic health records and HIPAA laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
