Overview
Under the direction of the Quality Manager, direct the activities of Final and Floor Inspection Quality personnel and coordinate & develop quality strategies & methods to ensure the quality of TDW products and processes, in order to support continuous improvement initiatives and achieve customer satisfaction. This position is based in Tulsa. Candidate must reside commutable distance from TMP Tulsa. Position is not available through telecommute and no relocation assistance is available.
Key Responsibilities
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Leads a team of Inspectors to ensure the conformity of all manufactured products.
Assists in the selection, management, motivation and development of employees to ensure a qualified workforce necessary to meet Company objectives, while complying with EEO and Affirmative Action guidelines or foreign employment guidelines as applicable,
Conducts performance reviews in accordance with the Performance Management Program, providing fair and accurate assessments of employee performance, training needs, and areas for improvement,
Develops and contributes to a positive team dynamic to ensure high performance,
Maintains inspector/technician cross training and qualification records.
Leads process improvements across all organizations in assigned business unit, utilizing continuous improvement tools such as root cause failure analysis.
Troubleshoots process issues and utilizes appropriate quality tool to drive continuous improvement.
Assists with the control and development of process improvements through effective auditing, training, and deployment.
Reviews and evaluates customer complaints and determines effective corrective and preventive actions and communicates those actions to customers.
Designs any special testing requirements for evaluation of components or sub-assemblies for reliability testing and analysis.
Participates in New Product Development engineering teams to ensure designs are able to be manufactured with the highest levels of quality and reliability,
Identifies and promotes solving problems relating to quality, reliability, and production.
Establishes the QC plan for specific orders.
Troubleshoots product issues and utilizes appropriate quality tool to drive continuous improvement.
Assists preparation for and performance of ISO 9001 Registrar and Management Reviews.
Monitors ISO 9001 and other QA methods and technologies to ensure all TDW policies, procedures and processes are up-to-date and executed,
Utilizes appropriate quality tools (e.g., problem solving and root cause analysis) to help resolve non-conformances and initiate corrective and preventative actions.
Assists direct Manager with development of quality programs and procedures for all TDW organizations to validate the capability of products and processes that support the Quality System.
Ensures data collection is structured, managed, and utilized to benefit TDW quality management system.
Manages and leads CAR/CAPA/NCR activities to ensure timely administration of both activities and records.
Assists direct manager develop and conduct training programs related to quality assurance concepts and tools.
Assists Quality Management in the development of FMEAs, Control Plans, Audit Plans and Training in support of Product Quality Planning efforts.
Controls and maintains appropriate verification, testing and training records (including material certification and testing reports, ASME-required documents such as Partial Data Reports and inspection checklists, etc.).
Experience
Bachelor Degree or commensurate job experience in Quality Control inspection for a minimum of 15 years.
Lead Auditor Certified
ASQ certified Quality Engineer
1-2 years of supervisory experience,
Experience planning and tracking workflow.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrated ability to manage dynamic situations and delegate responsibilities as needed.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and multimedia communication skills.
MS Word, Excel, and Outlook skills required.
Ability to travel (both internationally and domestically), up to 25% of the time.
