Quality Inspector
Summary/Objective
As Quality Inspector, you ensure the quality of products through thorough assessment and analyzes using specific procedural standards.
Essential Functions
- Perform inspections of company products to determine conformance with specifications.
- Perform in-line inspections for external customer issues/replacement orders.
- Utilize standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gauges and measuring devices.
- Process associated documentation, including customer certifications, process tags, rework tags and nonconforming material documents.
- Work under direct supervision and in accordance with instructions and techniques.
- Work directly with engineering and production to address, correct, and prevent customer complaints
- Complete First Article Inspection (FAI) reports and qualification efforts
- Control of non-conforming product.
- Create quality alerts.
- Maintain and distribute quality standards as needed.
- Complete 6S activities
- Assist with audits as applicable.
- Dimensional Inspection as needed.
- Help other departments as needed with administrative and light physical tasks.

Possess high attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills. Possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and be a good decision maker. Must be hands-on, responsible, reliable, independent, and a strong team player.

Work Environment
This job operates in a manufacturing environment that is not temperature controlled. Use of clean room as required by job/task, includes PPE, Tyvek suits, hair nets, beard net (if applicable) shoe covers, and gloves. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, in addition to thermoforming equipment.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must stand 8-12 hours per day and is occasionally required to bend, squat, climb, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift, push, pull or move up to 50 pounds. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Able to use hand tools and measurement devices (micrometer, tape measure)
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, hourly position, Monday through Friday, with occasional required weekend/overtime to support production.

Required Education and Experience
- HS Diploma or GED
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and ERP software experience
- Possess good math and computer skills
- Prior factory and Forklift experience a plus
- 2 years of manufacturing or quality inspection preferred
