Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM
Job Type: Full-time, in-person
Job Summary
The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting molded plastic parts to ensure they meet customer specifications, dimensional tolerances, and quality standards.
We are looking for someone with manufacturing or quality inspection experience who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable using precision measuring equipment.
Responsibilities
- Inspect molded plastic parts for visual defects and dimensional accuracy.
- Perform first-shot, in-process, and last-shot inspections.
- Inspect molding shots following startups, maintenance, or process changes.
- Use measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and gauge blocks.
- Verify correct part identification, material, and color.
- Perform cavity counts, cycle checks, and functional inspections.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
- Identify and properly disposition nonconforming material.
- Notify supervisors of quality concerns and assist with corrective actions.
- Support prototype and first-run inspections as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing quality control or inspection experience preferred.
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, or other precision measuring tools.
- Knowledge of quality inspection and documentation procedures.
- Ability to identify defects and accurately record inspection results.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability.
- Injection molding or plastics manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, vision inspection systems, or CMMs is a plus.
