POSITION SUMMARY

Drytech Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented, mechanically inclined Quality Inspector to support the manufacture of precision products for the aerospace, defense, and industrial markets.

The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections of components, assemblies, and finished products to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, customer requirements, work instructions, and Drytech’s AS9100 Quality Management System.

This is a hands-on manufacturing quality position. The successful candidate should be comfortable working directly with manufactured components, engineering drawings, precision measuring equipment, production personnel, engineers, and quality documentation.

Previous aerospace or manufacturing inspection experience is preferred; however, Drytech will consider mechanically inclined candidates with strong attention to detail and the aptitude to learn precision inspection techniques.

ABOUT DRYTECH

Drytech Inc., located in Cookstown, New Jersey adjacent to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, designs and manufactures moisture-control and air-purification products used in demanding aerospace, defense, and industrial applications.

Our products include desiccators, molecular sieve filters, dehydrators, humidity indicators, and other engineered moisture-control systems supplied to the U.S. Department of Defense and major aerospace and defense contractors.

Drytech operates under an AS9100 Rev D Quality Management System, with a strong emphasis on product quality, traceability, configuration control, documentation, and customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Quality Inspector will:

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of purchased components, manufactured parts, assemblies, and finished products.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, bills of material, acceptance criteria, and customer requirements.

  • Operate specialized product inspection and test equipment, including airflow, pressure, heat, and other functional test equipment as required.
  • Verify dimensional tolerances, workmanship requirements, material requirements, product configuration, and other specified acceptance criteria.
  • Accurately complete inspection reports, travelers, test records, acceptance documentation, and other quality records.
  • Maintain clear and accurate objective evidence demonstrating product conformity and inspection completion.
  • Verify that measurement and test equipment is within its required calibration period prior to use.
  • Identify, document, label, and segregate nonconforming material in accordance with Drytech procedures.
  • Initiate or support Nonconformance Reports and Material Review Board (MRB) activities when required.
  • Communicate inspection findings and quality concerns to Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality personnel.
  • Support First Article Inspection (FAI) activities and documentation in accordance with AS9102 requirements.
  • Verify product identification, serialization, lot control, material traceability, and configuration requirements.
  • Ensure proper identification and control of customer-supplied and government-furnished property when applicable.
  • Follow Foreign Object Debris/Damage (FOD) prevention requirements throughout manufacturing and inspection areas.
  • Support internal audits, customer audits, regulatory audits, and DCMA source inspections by providing accurate inspection records and objective evidence.
  • Assist Engineering and Quality personnel with root cause and corrective action (RCCA) investigations related to inspection findings and nonconforming product.
  • Identify recurring quality issues and communicate opportunities for process and product improvement.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection and manufacturing environment.
  • Follow all applicable safety procedures and required PPE when working around manufacturing equipment, chemicals, adhesives, cleaning agents, and other production materials.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
