Quality Inspector
Job Summary:
The Quality Inspector position is responsible for the measurement and approval of welded fixtures.
Duties:
- Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
- Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
- Document inspection results
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and company procedures
- Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
- Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
- Provide manufacturing support as required
- Help maintain a clean working environment
Abilities and Skills:
- Must have basic blue print reading skills
- Must have excellent measuring skills using tape measure, calipers, etc.
- Must have a working knowledge of manufacturing welded steel products
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently
- Must use Personal Protective Equipment required for Quality Inspectors
- Must be able to stand continuously for long periods of time
- Willing to work in excess of 40 hours a week
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
Education/Experience
- 1 year quality inspector experience in a weld manufacturing establishment required
- Must be able to read a tape measure accurately to the fraction of an inch
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
